Arlo's Ashes

Off-loom beading using size 11 Japanese glass seed beads covers a truly hideous little canister. Wooden beads glued to the bottom as feet. All my own design, except the cat motif which, unfortunately, I cannot remember where I found it. I helped bring Arlo into the world and was with him when he had to be put down because of severe illness. I miss my boy so much.

Mona Bookmark

Off-loom beaded using Japanese Delica beads from a pattern I think I found on the “Bead and Button” website. Made for my dear friend, Phil, who shares with me a quirky regard for the Mona Lisa.

Ashland Souvenir Bookmark

Off-loom beaded using Japanese Delica beads, trimmed with silver tone charms. A truly dreadful photo. From the top are Dale's initial, “2009,” the two theatre masks, and “Ashland.” Beading is all of my own design. At the bottom is a charm of the theatre masks that says “Ashland” and, at the top, is a bust of Shakespeare charm and another “Ashland” charm.

Fireflies

Lots of colorful fireflies made from a variety of Czech and other glass beads of varying sizes. Made for our friends, Warren and Lilli, who hung them up on fishing wire except for the two in the foreground which Lilli made earrings out of.

Golden Anniversary Candleholder

Freehand off-loom beaded cover for a votive candleholder. Made for Dale's parents for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Golden Anniversary Family Photo Album

Huge handmade photo album constructed of poster board, fabric, string, and wooden dowels. Trimmed with off-loom beaded closure straps in size 11 Czech seed beads. Accented with a variety of gold tone wedding-themed charms and heart-shaped Czech glass beads.
